About the role

The BC Brain Wellness Program at the University of British Columbia seeks a Research Associate to help translate cutting‑edge research into practical interventions for people living with chronic brain conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, traumatic brain injury and acquired brain injury.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the development and dissemination of lifestyle‑based programs (exercise, nutrition, art‑based therapeutics) for neurological populations.
  • Bridge research findings with community engagement activities and clinical practice.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of evidence on lifestyle impacts on brain health.
  • Assist in data collection, analysis, and reporting for program evaluation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health, Allan McGavin Sports Medicine Clinic, and Vancouver Coastal Health.

Required profile

  • Strong interest in brain health research and lifestyle interventions.
  • Ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment with clinicians, researchers, and community partners.
  • Excellent communication skills for translating scientific findings to non‑technical audiences.
  • Commitment to evidence‑informed practice and continuous learning.
