About the role
The University of British Columbia Student Health Service is seeking a dedicated staff physician to provide comprehensive primary care to students on the Vancouver campus. You will deliver medical care, support health promotion initiatives, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance student wellbeing.
Key responsibilities
- Provide primary care for a full range of physical, mental, and social health issues through scheduled and same‑day appointments.
- Develop and deliver health‑promotion content, including web‑based information and campus‑wide presentations.
- Collaborate with nurses, specialists, health‑promotion educators, counselling services, and university departments such as Accessibility, International Student Development, and Sexual Violence Prevention.
- Participate in an on‑call schedule when the clinic is closed, including evenings and weekends.
- Coordinate care with Vancouver General Hospital physicians when needed.
Required profile
- Medical degree and full licensure to practice in British Columbia.
- Experience in adolescent and early‑adult health care.
- Ability to integrate university‑specific health requirements with clinical practice.
- Strong communication skills for interaction with students, faculty, and university staff.
