Research Assistant/Technician (Psychosis & Schizophrenia)

About the role
The Research Assistant/Technician will support Dr. Todd Woodward and Dr. Mahesh Menon’s research on psychosis and schizophrenia. The role involves administering cognitive tasks, clinical interviews, and basic psychological measures to participants, as well as handling data entry and analysis.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct clinical interviews using MINI, PANSS-6, and BNSS.
- Administer cognitive assessments such as WASI-II, HVLT, Digit Symbol Substitution Test, and BDI.
- Collect functional MRI data and assist with fMRI task administration.
- Enter, organize, and analyze data using SPSS, Excel, and internet applications.
- Recruit participants from community mental health agencies and coordinate travel within Metro Vancouver.
- Collaborate with the lab coordinator and principal investigators on study protocols.
Required profile
- Background in psychology, neuroscience, or a related field.
- Experience conducting clinical interviews and cognitive testing.
- Ability to work with patients and healthy volunteers.
- Strong organizational skills and a valid driver’s licence for regional travel.
