About the role
The Department of Global and Public Health at McGill University is hiring a Research Assistant 2 to support a project that evaluates the integration of a trauma‑informed approach within the Public Health and Preventive Medicine Residency Program. The role involves both qualitative and quantitative research to assess impacts on resident and staff wellbeing.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct research using established qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
- Develop and execute research instruments, including semi‑structured interviews.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data from the PERMAH wellbeing questionnaire and interview transcripts.
- Prepare reports and presentations to disseminate findings.
- Create knowledge‑translation resources such as a handbook for trauma‑informed practice.
- Identify barriers and facilitators to implementation and suggest improvements.
- Assist with planning and evaluation of peer‑support and quality‑improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate research meetings, prepare materials, and support project follow‑up activities.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in public health, medical education, trauma‑informed collaboration, or a related field.
- Familiarity with trauma‑informed approaches and wellbeing assessment tools.
