About the role
Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, the Dental Hygienist will perform a range of dental imaging procedures, ensuring high‑quality diagnostic images while adhering to radiation safety and infection‑control standards. The role supports daily clinical operations through equipment maintenance, digital image management, and quality‑assurance activities.
Key responsibilities
- Obtain intraoral, panoramic, cephalometric, and cone‑beam CT (CBCT) images on patients following established protocols.
- Provide instruction and technical assistance to dental students during radiographic procedures and assess image quality.
- Maintain and troubleshoot dental radiology equipment, reporting issues to the Clinic Manager.
- Organize, transfer, and distribute radiographic images electronically or on digital media for referrals and insurance approvals.
- Ensure radiology rooms are clean, organized, and compliant with infection‑prevention standards.
Required profile
- DCS Diagnostic Imaging Technology or DEC III – Dental Hygiene.
- Minimum two years of related experience in dental imaging.
- Authorization to work in Canada and willingness to work in Quebec.
- English proficiency assessed at level 3 (scale 0‑4).
