Remote Tax Advisor (EA or CPA) for US Clients

About the role

We are seeking a remote Tax Advisor (EA or CPA) to work with small‑business owners across the United States. The position is advisory‑focused, helping clients move beyond compliance to make strategic financial decisions throughout the year.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and implement legitimate tax‑saving strategies for business owners.
• Advise on entity structure, compensation planning, tax optimization, and long‑term financial positioning.
• Prepare and review corporate tax returns (1120, 1120‑S) and individual owner returns (1040).
• Conduct year‑end tax planning and proactive strategy sessions.
• Review bookkeeping output to spot issues before they become compliance risks.
• Support clients with real‑world business decisions year‑round, not only during filing season.
• Collaborate with bookkeeping and advisory teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Required profile

• Active CPA or EA designation with a valid IRS PTIN.
• Minimum three years of experience preparing and advising on small‑business tax returns.
• Strong knowledge of S‑Corporations, LLCs, partnerships, pass‑through entities, and owner compensation planning.
• Proven ability to uncover tax‑saving opportunities and develop planning strategies.
• Deep understanding of U.S. federal tax compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and a strategic mindset focused on business outcomes.
