Remote Part-Time Accountant for Diverse Clients

About the role

This remote, part‑time contractor position supports a portfolio of non‑profit and for‑profit organisations across Canada. You will provide accurate bookkeeping, financial reporting and tax compliance, enabling clients to focus on their core missions while maintaining strong financial health.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile client bank statements and maintain up‑to‑date bookkeeping records.
• Manage income and expenditure accounts to ensure proper financial tracking.
• Prepare financial reports based on accounting data and business activities.
• Handle tax filings, remittances and other compliance requirements.
• Support implementation, management and optimisation of accounting software systems.
• Use QuickBooks Online to manage client accounting activities and reporting processes.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in accounting, finance or a related field.
• Experience with non‑profit accounting is preferred.
• CPA certification or equivalent designation is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to work independently.
