Remote iOS Engineer – Up to $85/hr

About the role

Mercor is seeking a remote iOS Engineer to work on cutting‑edge AI‑assisted development tasks. You will evaluate and improve mobile code generated by frontier AI coding agents, ensuring high quality and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Use AI coding agents (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Windsurf, Gemini CLI) to complete complex engineering tasks.
• Review model‑generated iOS application code for correctness, maintainability, and performance.
• Identify bugs, edge cases, and failure modes in AI‑produced outputs.
• Compare results from multiple AI models and assess their strengths and weaknesses.
• Apply professional engineering judgment to realistic mobile scenarios.

Required profile

• 2+ years of professional iOS development experience.
• Experience building and maintaining production iOS apps with Swift and modern iOS frameworks.
• Regular use of AI coding agents for development tasks.
• Ability to evaluate model‑generated implementations and architectural decisions.
• Preferred: a track record of shipping production mobile applications.

What we offer

• Compensation up to $85 per hour.
