Remote Frontend Engineer – $85/hr Contract

About the role

Mercor is looking for a Frontend Engineer to work remotely on cutting‑edge AI coding agents. You will evaluate and improve model‑generated frontend code, ensuring high quality, performance, and accessibility.

Key responsibilities

• Use frontier AI coding agents to complete complex engineering tasks.
• Review model‑generated frontend code for correctness, maintainability, accessibility, and performance.
• Identify bugs, edge cases, and failure modes in AI‑generated outputs.
• Compare outputs from multiple models and assess strengths and weaknesses.
• Apply professional engineering judgment to realistic frontend scenarios.

Required profile

• 2+ years of professional frontend engineering experience.
• Experience building modern web applications with React, TypeScript, JavaScript or similar technologies.
• Regular use of AI coding agents such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Windsurf, Gemini CLI, or comparable tools.
• Ability to evaluate model‑generated implementations, UI architecture, and performance optimizations.
• Preferred experience on large‑scale consumer or enterprise applications.
