Registered Practical Nurse – Long Term Care (Oakville, ON)

About the role

RhynoCare is looking for an experienced Registered Practical Nurse to provide high‑quality, compassionate care to residents in long‑term care facilities in Oakville, Ontario. The position is hired as an Independent Contractor and offers flexible scheduling and ongoing support.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safe, competent nursing and personal care in accordance with CNO standards, physician orders and resident care plans.
• Maintain accurate medication administration, including narcotics, and ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, provide leadership to PSWs, and ensure clear communication during admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and document care according to College of Nurses of Ontario guidelines.

Required profile

• Current active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work 8‑ or 12‑hour shifts across different units as needed.
• Reliability and commitment to scheduled shifts in line with RhynoCare’s attendance policy.
