Registered Nurse – Long Term Care (Lakefield, ON)

About the role

Rhynocare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high‑quality, compassionate care at a long‑term care facility in Lakefield, Ontario. You will join as an Independent Contractor, working within a multidisciplinary team to support residents’ physical, emotional, and social wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safe, competent nursing care in line with CNO standards, physician orders, and resident care plans.
• Maintain accurate medication administration, including narcotics, complying with legislative and organizational requirements.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, providing guidance to RPNs, PSWs, and other staff.
• Document all care activities promptly and thoroughly according to College of Nurses of Ontario guidelines.
• Respond to medical emergencies, initiating interventions per established protocols.

Required profile

• Current active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexibility to cover 8‑ or 12‑hour shifts and work across different units as needed.
• Reliability and adherence to Rhynocare’s attendance and cancellation policies.
