Recruitment Admissions Assistant

About the role

The Recruitment Admissions Assistant supports Lakehead University’s undergraduate enrolment goals by handling administrative tasks for the recruitment and admissions team, processing applicant data, and managing admission documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and import electronic data from the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC) into the student information system.
• Verify application data for accuracy, report errors to OUAC, and monitor admission responses.
• Review, code, scan and authenticate transcripts and other required documents.
• Coordinate applicant status updates, produce mass correspondence, and manage admissions supplies.
• Support meeting logistics, prepare correspondence for the Associate Registrar, and provide budget assistance.
• Assist with HR coordination for new hires, mail handling, and monthly attendance reporting.

Required profile

• College diploma with at least one year of related experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, strong time‑management and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of student information.
• Knowledge of Canadian and international secondary/post‑secondary education systems and university admission policies.
