Real Estate Law Clerk

About the role

The Properties Group Management Ltd. is seeking a detail‑oriented Real Estate Law Clerk to support its property management and commercial real‑estate legal team in Ottawa. You will work closely with lawyers to prepare documentation for trials, mediations and lease negotiations.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble documentary evidence and maintain filing systems for court proceedings.
• Research court files, legal records and other documents relevant to property disputes.
• Assist lawyers in preparing for mediations, hearings and other dispute‑resolution processes.
• Draft and proofread legal correspondence, contracts, lease agreements and other documents.
• Collect and record administrative fees, oversee judicial court records and ensure lease terms are met.
• Interview clients, prepare case histories and compile reports.

Required profile

• College or CEGEP diploma (1‑2 year program) in a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in real‑estate legal support or property management.
• Familiarity with court procedures, hearings and lease administration.
