React Native Developer

About the role

Tru Inc. is looking for a skilled React Native Developer to join its Montreal office. You will design and build high‑performance mobile applications for both iOS and Android, working closely with product and infrastructure teams.

Key responsibilities

• Create pixel‑perfect, smooth UI experiences on both platforms.
• Develop custom, theme‑integrated reusable components.
• Integrate native APIs for deep iOS and Android functionality.
• Identify and resolve bugs and performance bottlenecks.
• Contribute to the open‑source React Native community for critical fixes.
• Maintain code quality and write automated tests.
• Port existing React web applications to React Native.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of mobile application development experience.
• Strong command of JavaScript and TypeScript, including ES6+ syntax.
• Understanding of functional or object‑oriented programming concepts.
• Ability to produce clean, well‑documented code.
• Experience handling third‑party dependencies and resolving conflicts.
• Familiarity with native build tools such as Xcode and Gradle/Android Studio.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, request/response models, and offline storage strategies.
