React Native Developer (Hybrid, Montreal)

About the role

Tru Inc. is looking for a React Native Developer to design and deliver high‑performance mobile applications for both iOS and Android. You will own the architecture, build reusable components, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration with the broader product ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Build pixel‑perfect, buttery‑smooth UIs across iOS and Android.
• Create custom, theme‑integrated components that can be reused throughout the app.
• Leverage native APIs for deep platform integrations.
• Diagnose and resolve bugs and performance bottlenecks to achieve native‑like responsiveness.
• Contribute to the open‑source React Native community by helping implement critical fixes.
• Maintain high code quality and write automated tests.
• Transition existing React web applications to React Native.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional mobile application development experience.
• Strong command of JavaScript and TypeScript, including ES6+ features.
• Solid understanding of functional or object‑oriented programming principles.
• Experience writing clean, well‑documented code and handling third‑party dependencies.
• Familiarity with native build tools such as Xcode and Android Studio/Gradle.
• Good grasp of REST APIs, request/response models, and offline storage strategies.
