Reach Stacker & Hystacker Operator – Shiploading Season

About the role

We are seeking experienced Reach Stacker and Hystacker Operators to support high‑volume shiploading operations across major Canadian terminals. The role is essential for safe, efficient handling of containers and bulk materials during the peak loading season.

Key responsibilities

• Operate reach stackers and hystackers safely for loading and unloading containers and bulk materials.
• Stack, move, and organize containers in yard and dock areas to support shiploading.
• Coordinate with supervisors, signalers, and fellow operators to maintain smooth workflow.
• Perform pre‑operational inspections and routine equipment checks.
• Identify and report mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly.
• Maintain accurate operational logs and documentation.
• Assist with general yard duties during peak periods.

Required profile

• Proven experience operating reach stackers and/or hystackers.
• Valid equipment operator certification or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of safe lifting, stacking, and load securement practices.
• Ability to work long hours, including nights and weekends, during peak season.
• Physically capable of working outdoors in industrial conditions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
