RAMS Engineer – Railway Safety & Reliability

About the role

The RAMS Engineer will ensure the safety and reliability of Alstom’s rail systems by working closely with design, industrial, sourcing and validation teams. You will coordinate RAMS activities, perform hazard analyses and guarantee compliance with internal and customer‑specific standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct hazard analysis and define risk acceptance criteria for assigned projects.
• Plan, manage and deliver RAMS activities, documentation and milestones.
• Verify compliance with Alstom’s RAMS processes and customer requirements.
• Assess and demonstrate safety and reliability levels of Alstom products.
• Define, track and mitigate safety and reliability requirements.
• Support stakeholders in implementing and documenting required safety measures.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners on all RAMS‑related matters.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical, Electro‑mechanical or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience or solid understanding of railway safety analysis and RAM prediction methods.
• Knowledge of safety and reliability demonstration tools.
• Understanding of schematic systems.
• Fluency in French and English, both written and verbal.
