Radiologist – Medical Specialist in Canadian Armed Forces

About the role

The Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) seeks qualified Radiologists to join the Medical Specialist occupation. You will provide rapid, accurate diagnostic imaging interpretation and support clinical decision‑making for CAF members both at health‑service clinics and on deployed operations.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret multimodality imaging (CT, ultrasound, X‑ray) to guide surgical and medical treatment.
• Provide remote or in‑house radiology support to Primary Care Services at CAF clinics.
• Maintain clinical currency through positions in civilian tertiary‑care hospitals.
• Perform interventional procedures for minimally invasive therapeutic treatment during overseas missions when required.
• Contribute to health‑care policy development and mentor other military health‑care providers.

Required profile

• Member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
• Unrestricted licence to practise radiology in a Canadian province or territory.
• Willingness to embed in civilian hospitals and participate in annual military skills training.
• Readiness to deploy domestically or internationally as part of health‑services teams.
