Quality Control Supervisor

About the role

Peaskie Minerals is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor to lead QC activities for sand, gravel and crushed stone products at its Redwater facility. Reporting to the Manager of Quality, Environment and Land, you will oversee a team of lab technicians and ensure product meets internal and customer specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Lead quality control activities to ensure aggregates meet internal standards and customer specifications.
• Supervise, schedule and coordinate the activities of QC staff.
• Oversee sampling, testing, and documentation to support consistent product quality.
• Review, analyze and compare test results with specifications, tolerances, and targets; report deviations and follow‑up on corrective actions.
• Administer the laboratory and equipment, support audit readiness, and maintain calibrations.
• Develop, implement, and maintain QMS, SOPs, and document control.
• Promote a strong safety and compliance culture across quality and production teams.
• Partner with operations to identify quality trends and drive corrective actions.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives related to quality systems and processes.
• Establish routine reporting expectations and standards.

Required profile

• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent hands‑on industry experience.
• Strong understanding of aggregate properties and excellent mathematical skills.
• Proficiency with QC databases and reporting software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb and work in a plant or construction environment with varying weather conditions.
