QC Inspector

About the role

Durabuilt Windows & Doors is seeking a QC Inspector to ensure that all incoming materials, components and finished products meet the company’s high quality standards. The role combines hands‑on inspections, documentation and root‑cause analysis to support continuous improvement in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of incoming materials, components and finished goods using measuring and inspection tools.
• Test random samples of finished products and record any defects.
• Communicate daily findings to the Assistant Manager or Quality Engineer and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain and update work instructions, check sheets, SOPs and other quality documentation.
• Audit manufacturing processes, conduct root‑cause investigations and drive corrective actions.
• Train new Quality Control team members and support colleagues as needed.

Required profile

• Solution‑focused with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a changing environment.
• Self‑starter with high integrity, capable of working autonomously.
• Comfortable handling physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lb.

Required skills

• WHMIS certification.
• Standard First Aid certification (asset).
