Purchasing Agent

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Purchasing Agent to join our private‑sector team. The role involves managing the full procurement cycle for both general and specialized equipment, materials, and services while ensuring compliance with internal standards.

Key responsibilities

• Purchase general and specialized equipment, materials, and business services.
• Assess organisational needs and develop detailed specifications for required items.
• Negotiate offers, consult with suppliers, and determine contract terms and conditions.
• Award contracts to suitable vendors and maintain supplier relationships.
• Resolve issues by liaising with clients and suppliers.
• Conduct internal audits related to procurement activities.
• Utilise SAP modules (FI/CO, HR, MM, OT SD) for transaction processing and reporting.

Required profile

• Master’s degree.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience.
• Strong ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and client‑focused mindset.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Organised, flexible, and capable of multitasking in a team environment.
