Project Manager – Engineering & Infrastructure

About the role

TRIUMF, Canada’s national particle accelerator centre, is seeking a Project Manager to lead complex engineering and infrastructure projects that support world‑class scientific research. You will work closely with project leaders, scientists and multidisciplinary technical teams from concept through to installation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project scope, schedule, budget and risk for engineering and infrastructure initiatives.
• Coordinate concept development, design, procurement, manufacture and installation of specialised equipment and facilities.
• Apply TRIUMF’s project governance processes (e.g., TSOP‑15) and ensure compliance with standards.
• Collaborate on‑site with engineers, technicians, scientists and tradespeople to solve problems and keep projects on track.
• Maintain detailed project schedules and progress tracking using Microsoft Project and Excel.

Required profile

• At least 8 years of project management experience in engineering or scientific environments.
• Strong hands‑on approach and willingness to work on‑site.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and build stakeholder relationships.
• Background in engineering or science to navigate structured project environments.
