Project Manager – Business Change

About the role

MatchBox Consulting Group is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead Business Change initiatives for a leading utility and infrastructure organization. The role focuses on projects within a Security, Business Continuity, and Emergency Management portfolio, guiding them from initiation through implementation while managing scope, schedule, budget, risk, and stakeholder communications.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and close projects of varying size, complexity, and risk across the security and continuity portfolio.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, scope documents, and risk‑management strategies.
• Monitor progress, benefits, resources, and status to ensure successful delivery and prepare comprehensive documentation such as status reports, business cases, and post‑implementation reviews.
• Support change‑management, stakeholder‑engagement, and training plans to facilitate smooth adoption.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and act as a liaison for process‑improvement initiatives.
• Report project risks and issues, devise mitigation strategies, and produce final financial and project reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Health & Safety, IT, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of project‑management experience in a utility or similar environment.
• Proven experience managing risk‑management or business‑process‑change projects.
• Strong stakeholder‑management and relationship‑building abilities.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Valid BC Class 5 driver’s licence.
