Project Engineer – Capital Projects (Entry Level)

About the role

You will support the planning, development and execution of capital projects within Mondelēz’s supply‑chain manufacturing network. This entry‑level position provides hands‑on experience working alongside senior engineers to deliver technical solutions that meet quality, safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in capital project execution from concept through commissioning.
• Conduct site walk‑downs, oversee contractors, receive equipment and manage punch‑list items.
• Prepare support packages, maintain project trackers and documentation.
• Coordinate purchase orders, track budgets and report financial status.
• Support the development of technical specifications and ensure compliance with food‑grade design standards.

Required profile

• Interest in building a career in engineering or operations within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Basic understanding of analysis and project‑management principles.
• Entry‑level (junior) candidate eager to learn on the job.

Required skills

• Basic engineering fundamentals (mechanical, electrical, or process).
• AutoCAD and basic P&ID reading.
• Contractor coordination and site supervision.
• Purchase‑order tracking and budget reporting.
• Familiarity with food‑grade/sanitary design standards (a plus).
