Project Coordinator (Civil Construction)

About the role

Our client, a leading civil contractor in the Lower Mainland, is looking for a Project Coordinator to support the delivery of complex infrastructure projects such as earthworks, roadbuilding, excavation, shoring, and underground utilities. The role involves close collaboration with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and field crews to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with day‑to‑day coordination.
• Support project planning, scheduling, cost tracking, and document control.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field crews.
• Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, and progress reports.
• Assist procurement activities and material tracking.
• Maintain project documentation, meeting minutes, permits, and records.
• Support progress billings, quantity tracking, and forecasting.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and support field operations.
• Promote health, safety, and environmental standards on site.

Required profile

• 1–5 years of experience in civil construction as a Project Coordinator, Field Coordinator, EIT, or similar role.
• Experience or exposure to earthworks, roadworks, excavation & shoring, and underground utilities is a strong asset.
• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast‑paced environment.
