Program Manager

About the role

ecobee is seeking a Program Manager to lead complex software and hardware programs for its smart energy and home security products. The role works closely with engineering, product, design, research, manufacturing, and go‑to‑market teams to translate product strategy into executable plans and ensure delivery meets business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end program planning, milestones, dependencies, and delivery timelines following ecobee’s Product Development Process.
• Lead cross‑functional teams—including hardware engineering, product management, manufacturing, and go‑to‑market—to drive programs from concept through production readiness and market launch.
• Track execution, surface schedule, technical, and resourcing risks early, and work with stakeholders to mitigate them.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, schedules, and action‑item logs.
• Prepare and distribute regular status updates and reports to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (any field).
• At least three years of program or project management experience working directly with hardware and software engineering teams.
• Proven track record delivering complex hardware programs from concept to production.
• Strong communication skills and ability to operate in highly technical discussions.
