President (Capital Raising, Development, Critical Minerals)

About the role

An exploration and development company is looking for a President through GateSource HR Mining Recruitment. The President acts as the senior operational and commercial leader, overseeing day-to-day activities and the successful execution of critical minerals projects. Working closely with the CEO, the President drives capital raising, investor and stakeholder relations and turns strategy into action.

Key responsibilities

• Operational leadership: direct day-to-day operations across exploration, development and corporate functions; implement the strategic plan and deliver project milestones, budgets and KPIs; maintain safety, sustainability and regulatory compliance.
• Technical and project oversight: provide high-level geological and technical input to exploration and development programs; assess new project opportunities and partnerships; guide technical disclosures and reports (NI 43-101, JORC).
• Capital raising and investor relations: lead equity, debt and strategic partner fundraising; manage investor relations, roadshows and analyst and shareholder communications; develop investor presentations with the CEO.
• Stakeholder engagement: represent the company with government agencies, Indigenous groups, local communities and industry bodies; negotiate agreements and permits.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Geological Engineering or a related discipline.
• 15+ years of experience in mineral exploration and development, with significant exposure to critical minerals.
• Proven executive leadership (President, COO, VP Exploration/Development) in a publicly listed or growth-stage mining company.
• Track record of raising capital and managing investor relations for junior or mid-tier mining companies.
• Understanding of project economics, permitting, stakeholder engagement and multi-jurisdictional operations.
