Program Area Leader – Part‑Time

About the role

Join BGC Okanagan as a part‑time Program Area Leader for the Peter Greer Elementary club in Lake Country. You will support children’s growth through play, creativity, and nurturing relationships, shaping their development in a fun, meaningful environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and implement activities and special events for the program.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations, ensuring facilities, equipment, policies, and licensing requirements are met.
• Recommend program development, policy formulation, and evaluation to the supervisor.
• Promote public awareness by creating promotional materials and attending community events.
• Liaise with community service providers and professionals to coordinate services and represent the program externally.
• Maintain records, statistics, and produce required reports.

Required profile

• Diploma, certificate or relevant experience working with children in recreation, education or social services.
• Valid First Aid certificate.
• 20‑hour Responsible Adult training or willingness to obtain.
• Class 4 driver’s licence or willingness to obtain immediately.
• Successful completion of agency screening, including a criminal record check.
• Must be at least 19 years of age as per provincial licensing regulations.
