Production Scheduler

About the role

Responsible for the planning, organizing, and scheduling of production and zinc inventories in a manner that effectively utilizes resources, and maintains a high level of on‑time delivery and customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Develop rough‑cut capacity, manpower plans and machine allocations based on forecasts and actual demand.
• Maintain shop calendar, department and work‑center planning parameters.
• Schedule all casting machines and coordinate tool‑room schedules.
• Monitor inventory planning parameters such as order policy, safety stock and time fences.
• Resolve production schedule conflicts and support shift supervisors during end‑of‑run activities.
• Set up new parts, bills of materials, routings and production lines in the QAD system.

Required profile

• Customer‑service orientation with strong communication skills across all organization levels.
• Above‑average analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment with a sense of urgency.
• Working knowledge of QAD or other MRP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
• University or college graduate in Business, Engineering or Materials Management preferred.
• 3–5 years of scheduling or materials‑management experience in manufacturing.
