Electrical Engineering Technician

About the role

GAL AeroStaff Ltd is seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician to support the design, testing and maintenance of turbine and hydraulic systems. The position is office‑based in Peterborough with opportunities to work on prototype development and equipment calibration.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and read blueprints to plan operational sequences.
• Test power equipment and electronic components using specialized test equipment.
• Assist in design, development, prototype building and testing to specifications.
• Calibrate electronic instruments and maintain hydraulic system equipment.
• Set up and operate standard and specialized test rigs to diagnose system performance.

Required profile

• College or CEGEP certificate/diploma (3 months to <1 year).
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in electrical/electronic testing.
• Willingness to relocate and work in an office environment.
• Fluency in English (French optional as per screening question).
