Production Operator

About the role

We are seeking a Production Operator to join a mining‑related manufacturing facility in Langley, BC. The role is full‑time, onsite, Monday‑Friday 7 am‑3 pm, and focuses on handling limestone, quicklime and hydrated lime products from filling to shipment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate bagging systems to fill limestone, quicklime and hydrated lime according to specifications.
• Run, monitor and maintain palletizing and stretch‑wrapping equipment to ensure accurate weights and efficient flow.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine adjustments and basic maintenance.
• Conduct regular inspections of packaging machinery and report any mechanical concerns.
• Perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, shoveling, climbing ladders and working at elevated heights.
• Maintain plant cleanliness by removing spilled material and product residue.
• Follow all safety procedures, regulatory requirements and operational standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lb, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling and working in confined spaces.
• Reliable telephone communication for call‑outs.

Required skills

• Operation of bagging, palletizing and stretch‑wrapping equipment.
• Forklift, skidsteer and front‑end loader operation.
• Basic computer proficiency and elementary mathematical calculations.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
