Production Manager – On‑Site

About the role

The Production Manager will ensure smooth, efficient operation of animated TV show production, working closely with the Producer, department Supervisors and the broader production team. This on‑site role involves building schedules, coordinating resources and monitoring progress across all departments.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Supervisors and the Producer to create and manage detailed production schedules.
• Track progress across Layout, Modeling, Animation, Lighting, Compositing, Assets and other departments using Flow and Shotgrid, flagging delays and resolving bottlenecks.
• Manage team attendance, vacation requests and studio hours in partnership with HR.
• Oversee timesheet collection, approval and coding, coordinating with Payroll for accurate submissions.
• Maintain up‑to‑date project tracking in Shotgrid, updating episode, shot and milestone statuses.
• Coordinate cross‑departmental communication to keep teams aligned on deadlines, notes and production goals.
• Identify schedule risks and suggest workflow improvements for clarity and efficiency.
• Prepare and distribute weekly progress reports to the Producer and Director.

Required profile

• 3‑5+ years of experience in production management or coordination, preferably in animation, VFX or a similar creative pipeline.
• Strong knowledge of production tracking tools such as Shotgrid/Shotgun and Flow.
• Exceptional scheduling and time‑management abilities under tight deadlines.
• Clear communicator comfortable working across departments.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented and proactive in problem‑solving.
