Product Designer, Internal Tools

About the role

Stripe is looking for a Product Designer to own the design of internal tools that empower engineers, operations, finance and other teams. You will work on two key spaces – Developer Productivity and Collaboration – shaping workflows, information architecture and polished interfaces that drive efficiency across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end design for a portfolio of internal tools, from discovery and problem framing to interaction design, prototyping and implementation support.
• Partner with engineers and product managers to define requirements and translate them into clear, usable design solutions.
• Conduct lightweight research and usability sessions with internal users to validate decisions and uncover unmet needs.
• Contribute to a consistent design language across internal tools, collaborating with the Sail Design team and Stripe’s design system.
• Make informed design trade‑offs, balancing craftsmanship with pragmatic delivery.
• Advocate for internal users and help raise the overall quality of internal product design at Stripe.

Required profile

• 5+ years of product design experience with a portfolio that demonstrates strong UX thinking and visual craft.
• Experience designing tools for complex or data‑heavy workflows such as internal tools, developer tools or ops platforms.
• Comfortable driving the full design process, from discovery and problem brief to prototype and ship.
• Strong systems thinker who seeks patterns, reusable components and structural solutions.
