Procurement Specialist

About the role

Huawei Canada’s Quality & Operation Department is seeking a Procurement Specialist to support business and project needs across the organization. The role involves drafting SOWs and RFPs, managing vendor negotiations, and ensuring timely purchase order fulfillment while adhering to corporate procurement policies.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyse business/project requirements, draft SOWs, RFIs/RFPs and suggest procurement strategies.
• Negotiate with vendors, prepare procurement agreements, and manage the end‑to‑end procurement process.
• Process purchase orders in the electronic system, issue, modify or cancel POs as needed.
• Support the procurement manager with demand collection, market trend analysis, supplier management and category‑based reporting.
• Develop procurement benchmarks, evaluate vendor performance and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of services procurement experience.
• Experience in construction, architectural, engineering services or integrated facilities management.
• Strong business acumen, detail‑oriented and self‑motivated with a positive attitude.
• Proven ability to manage projects from start to finish and work effectively in a team.
