Procurement & Inventory Coordinator

About the role

The Procurement & Inventory Coordinator ensures that raw materials, packaging, and operational supplies are purchased and available to support manufacturing schedules. This role maintains accurate inventory records, minimizes production disruptions, and collaborates closely with production and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate purchasing of raw materials, packaging, production supplies, and other operational items.
• Create and track purchase orders to guarantee timely delivery.
• Monitor inventory levels and keep records up‑to‑date in company systems.
• Work with production teams to align material availability with manufacturing plans.
• Communicate with suppliers on pricing, lead times, delivery schedules, and resolve order discrepancies.
• Investigate and resolve inventory variances and material shortages.
• Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventory counts as needed.
• Maintain organized procurement and inventory documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve purchasing efficiency and inventory management.
• Support supplier performance evaluation and vendor relationship management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health‑safety requirements.

Required profile

• Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, inventory control, or materials coordination within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of inventory management and purchasing processes.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems or inventory management software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
