President and Chief Executive Officer

About the role

Arnprior Regional Health (ARH), a fully accredited integrated healthcare organization serving the Ottawa Valley, is looking for a President and Chief Executive Officer. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the President and CEO provides strategic and operational leadership as the organization enters an important next chapter. The role leads the development and implementation of the next strategic plan, while advancing quality, service excellence, financial sustainability, workforce engagement and system partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership to the organization
• Lead the development and implementation of the next strategic plan
• Position the organization for long-term sustainability and respond to evolving healthcare needs
• Identify opportunities for innovation and service improvement
• Build relationships with physicians, staff, volunteers, Board members, government and health-system partners, and community leaders
• Foster a culture of accountability, inclusion and continuous improvement, keeping quality, safety and the patient and resident experience central to decisions

Required profile

• Accomplished, collaborative and values-driven executive with senior leadership experience in healthcare or another complex, highly regulated environment
• Demonstrated track record of organizational leadership, strategic planning, operational excellence, financial stewardship and leading transformational change
• Sound judgment, strong business and financial acumen, and the ability to turn strategy into measurable results
• Comfortable working in a close-knit community where collaboration, partnership and community presence are essential
