Prep/Line Cook Production

About the role

Oliver & Bonacini is hiring a Prep/Line Cook for its production kitchen in Toronto. The cook reports to the Chef, works closely with the team and contributes to productive menu execution and a great guest experience. The position is full-time with day shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and cook dishes in line, keeping the kitchen clean and safe during service
• Keep up with upcoming menus and events, communicate with the team and help with ordering and inventory
• Build good working relationships with other cooks and chefs and with the front-of-house teams
• Deliver excellent service, including honouring guest special requests
• Other duties as assigned

Required profile

• 1-2 years of cooking experience
• Culinary diploma or degree is an asset
• Strong background in cooking and recipe creation, with a willingness to keep learning and accept feedback
• Able to take direction and stay calm and effective under pressure
• Able to stand 100% of the time

• High-volume prep and precise knife skills
