About the role

The School of Population and Public Health at UBC is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join the Ogilvie Laboratory within the Women’s Health Research Institute. The 12‑month fixed‑term position focuses on HPV‑related cervical cancer screening research and offers the opportunity to lead data‑driven components of a global control program.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for data collection, analysis, and methodological development across grant‑funded studies.
  • Draft and co‑author scientific manuscripts based on study findings.
  • Lead ongoing analysis activities, coordinating with researchers and research assistants.
  • Review study protocols, discuss logistics with investigators, and ensure consistent documentation.
  • Conduct data collection and complete protocol‑specific documentation as required.
  • Mentor and support masters, PhD students, and other trainees.

Required profile

  • Experience in data collection and statistical analysis for epidemiological research.
  • Ability to develop study methodologies and instrumentation.
  • Strong written communication skills for manuscript preparation.
  • Capacity to mentor graduate students and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
