Plumber – Install & Repair Plumbing Systems

About the role

Fast Way Appliances Ltd is looking for a qualified plumber to install, repair, and maintain domestic, commercial, and industrial plumbing systems across various locations. The role involves reading technical documents, working with a range of pipe‑joining methods, and ensuring all installations meet safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install and repair plumbing fixtures and systems in residential, commercial and industrial settings.
• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of water supply, waste and drainage networks.
• Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, cut openings in walls and floors, and join pipes using couplings, clamps, soldering, brazing or welding.
• Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required sizes and shapes.
• Test completed installations for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 2 to less than 3 years of hands‑on plumbing experience.
• Physically demanding work; ability to handle heavy loads and work under pressure.
• Team player with good judgement.

Required skills

• Blueprint and technical drawing reading.
• Pipe joining techniques (soldering, brazing, welding, couplings, clamps).
• Pipe sizing, measuring, cutting, threading and bending.
• Leak testing using air and water pressure gauges.
