Concrete Forms Carpenter

About the role

We are looking for a Concrete Forms Carpenter to join our construction team in Surrey. The role involves building, installing and maintaining formwork for concrete structures across commercial and residential projects.

Key responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine formwork requirements and ensure compliance with building codes.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join wood, wood‑substitutes and lightweight steel to create foundations, floor beams, subflooring, walls and roof systems.
• Maintain, repair and renovate existing formwork and wooden structures in various settings such as mills, hospitals and industrial plants.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 1–2 years of experience in formwork construction or related maintenance and repair.
• Physical ability to bend, crouch, kneel, lift heavy loads and work in demanding conditions.
• Reliability and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Required skills

• Blueprint reading and interpretation.
• Proficiency with measuring tools and hand/power tools for cutting and shaping materials.
• Formwork construction and assembly techniques.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety standards.
