Platform Engineering Co‑Op Student

About the role

MealSuite is seeking a motivated Co‑Op Student to join its Platform Engineering team. You will support the reliability and performance of the platform that powers foodservice technology for healthcare and senior living organizations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor platform infrastructure, identify performance bottlenecks, system anomalies, and reliability risks, and assist with root‑cause analysis.
• Review operational dashboards and metrics to assess system health, spot trends, and provide actionable insights.
• Evaluate incoming change requests for accuracy and alignment with standards, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure readiness.
• Execute pre‑approved change activities following established processes, documenting and validating changes post‑deployment.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Canadian post‑secondary program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with Linux system administration and Docker containerization.
• Experience with digital productivity tools such as Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, VMWare, or similar technologies is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication, active listening, and a collaborative, team‑oriented attitude.

• Compensation ranging from $21.67 to $31.53 CAD per hour, based on the work term.
