Planned Giving Manager

About the role

The Planned Giving Manager will develop and nurture relationships with legacy giving society members (Joseph Stewards) and expand the pipeline of prospective donors. Reporting to the Donor Relations Director, the role is based in Burlington, Ontario, with a hybrid schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Implement targeted cultivation strategies to maintain and increase legacy and planned gifts, providing personalized engagement for all donor levels.
• Manage an assigned portfolio of donors, ensuring consistent communication, stewardship, and tailored reporting.
• Research, identify, and qualify donors for legacy and planned gift opportunities, and promote the Joseph Stewards program through campaigns, newsletters, events, and webinars.
• Collaborate with estate planning professionals and family members to facilitate smooth processing of estate gifts.
• Establish financial goals, record donor information in the CRM system, and produce regular reports.

Required profile

• Actively practicing Christian with involvement in a local Christian community and a commitment to fund development as a Kingdom vocation.
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and gender equality within teams and programming.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to prioritize in a multi‑task environment.
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, communications or related field and at least three years of fundraising or gift‑planning experience.
