About the role
Papa Johns Pizza is looking for a motivated Pizza Cook to join their restaurant team in Port Alberni. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of pizza and menu items in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.
Key responsibilities
- Determine portion sizes and associated food costs.
- Plan menus and estimate food requirements for service.
- Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes.
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas for cleanliness and compliance.
- Train staff on food preparation, cooking techniques, and safe handling.
- Order supplies and equipment, maintaining inventory records.
- Clean kitchen work areas and ensure equipment is maintained.
- Manage day‑to‑day kitchen operations.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- 1–2 years of experience in a restaurant kitchen.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Flexibility, organization, and strong teamwork skills.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
