Pipeline Manager (Business Development)

About the role
Steer is looking for a Pipeline Manager to lead the day‑to‑day oversight, strategy, and performance of its business development pipeline. The role ensures visibility, consistency, and data‑driven decision‑making across all pursuits, working closely with leadership, marketing, and Business Unit teams.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and improve pipeline tracking systems within the CRM to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with Key Account Managers to identify and position priority opportunities for top clients.
- Lead pipeline reviews with leadership, facilitating discussions on priorities, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop and monitor KPIs such as pipeline value, conversion rates, and win/loss trends.
- Support go/no‑go decisions by synthesizing pipeline intelligence and market insights.
- Identify gaps in pipeline coverage and coordinate with leadership and marketing to address them.
- Manage lead generation processes, including bid aggregators and proactive opportunity identification.
- Coordinate proposal prioritization and resourcing with the Proposal Production Manager.
- Oversee data integrity, standardization, and reporting across all pipeline stages.
- Produce regular pipeline and revenue forecasts to support executive decision‑making.
- Develop dashboards and reports that translate pipeline data into actionable insights.
- Analyze trends across sectors, clients, and geographies to inform growth strategy.
- Support broader sales and marketing teams to ensure proper coverage of responsibilities.
Required profile
- 4–7 years of experience in business development, CRM management, or sales operations.
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to interpret pipeline data and make strategic recommendations.
- Process‑management experience, including managing systems, workflows, and data consistency across teams.
- Experience with CRM platforms; Insightly is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with proposal development processes is advantageous.
