Physiotherapist – BC Brain Wellness Program

About the role

The Physiotherapist will assess clients referred to the BC Brain Wellness Program, evaluating physical function, balance, motor symptoms and the impact of non‑motor symptoms on daily activities. The role supports clients in accessing interventions that mitigate disease progression, improve quality of life, and enhance everyday function.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of physical function, balance, and motor symptoms.
• Develop and implement client‑centred intervention plans.
• Oversee intake processes and stratify clients into appropriate group programs.
• Maintain detailed records in the program’s electronic medical record system.
• Provide mentorship and supervision to students.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence‑informed care.

Required profile

• Strong desire to deliver optimal clinical experiences for clients.
• Understanding of team‑based and client‑centred care models.
• Ability to stay current with lifestyle‑based approaches impacting brain health.
• Willingness to work on‑site at UBC facilities or off‑site satellite sites.
