Pharmacist – Inpatient & Ambulatory Care

About the role

We are looking for a licensed pharmacist to join The Ottawa Hospital’s Pharmacy Department. The role involves delivering patient‑centered pharmacy care within a multidisciplinary team, covering both inpatient specialties and ambulatory clinics across our campuses.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medication management for patients in a variety of inpatient units, including medical, surgical and critical care.
• Deliver clinical pharmacy services in ambulatory programs such as thrombosis, immunodeficiency, bone marrow transplant, oncology and nephrology.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and allied health professionals to optimise drug therapy and ensure patient safety.
• Participate in teaching activities for pharmacy students, residents and technicians.
• Contribute to research and quality‑improvement initiatives within the department.

Required profile

• Current registration as a pharmacist in Canada.
• Strong commitment to patient‑focused care and safety.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Willingness to engage in continuous learning, teaching and research.
