Pharmacist I – Part‑Time (0.40 FTE)

About the role

The Pharmacist I position at Bonnyville Health Centre supports safe, effective, and efficient pharmaceutical services for patients across northeast Alberta. Working within an interdisciplinary team, you will assess medication therapy, identify drug‑related problems, and intervene to optimise patient outcomes on a part‑time, temporary basis.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute pharmaceutical products in compliance with safety standards.
• Manage medication therapy by assessing patients for potential and actual drug‑related issues.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
• Maintain accurate medication records and uphold regulatory requirements.
• Participate in a rotating shift pattern, working 7.75‑hour days on a 2‑week cycle.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy program or recognized equivalent.
• Licensed pharmacist eligible to practice in Alberta.
• Strong communication, accuracy, and organisational abilities.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced health‑care environment.
