Pharmacist – Community Pharmacy

About the role

Join a locally owned pharmacy to provide health, beauty and convenience services to your community. As the on‑duty pharmacist you will ensure safe dispensing, offer professional counselling and support the overall operation of the dispensary.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily pharmacy operations, including workflow queues and inventory control.
• Provide prescription counselling, over‑the‑counter advice and expanded‑scope professional services.
• Maintain privacy and confidentiality in accordance with federal and provincial regulations.
• Communicate with other health‑care professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Monitor stock levels, review expired inventory and place medication orders.
• Ensure compliance with the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and report to Health Canada.
• Maintain a clean, professional pharmacy environment and handle incident reporting.

Required profile

• Licensed pharmacist with the ability to practice the full scope of pharmacy services.
• Strong decision‑making, problem‑solving and customer‑service orientation.
• Experience in coaching or supervising pharmacy staff is preferred.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and mandatory training.

Required skills

• Knowledge of pharmacy management systems.
