About the role
We are looking for a full‑time pharmacist to join a locally owned pharmacy and deliver health, beauty and convenience services to the community. The pharmacist will be the primary point of contact for customers and health‑care providers, ensuring safe and professional medication dispensing.
Key responsibilities
- Manage daily pharmacy operations, including workflow queues, inventory control and dispensing of prescriptions.
- Provide counseling on prescription, over‑the‑counter and behind‑the‑counter products while maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
- Communicate with other health‑care professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with federal/provincial regulations and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
- Oversee stock levels, identify expired inventory, and place medication orders with wholesalers.
- Ensure the pharmacy environment reflects a professional image and follows health‑and‑safety procedures.
- Document and report any medication or privacy incidents and support financial reporting as needed.
Required profile
- Strong independent decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities.
- Experience planning, coordinating and coaching pharmacy staff.
- Commitment to exceptional customer service and professional conduct.
- Ability to drive business performance and support enterprise initiatives.
- Willingness to complete mandatory training and continuing education.
Required skills
- Proficiency with pharmacy software systems.
- Basic personal computing skills.
