Permanent Teacher (0.8 FTE) – Grade 7/8 Homeroom, SERT, Prep Coverage

About the role

The Durham District School Board is seeking a dedicated Permanent Teacher to join its elementary schools on a 0.8 FTE basis. You will split your time between a Grade 7/8 homeroom, SERT (Special Education Resource Teacher) duties, and preparation coverage, creating a supportive learning environment for diverse students.

Required profile

• Ontario teaching certificate (OCT) in good standing.
• Subject qualifications in Intermediate Division and Special Education Part 1.
• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and Indigenous reconciliation.
• Willingness to undergo a criminal background check with vulnerable sector screening.

What we offer

• Permanent 0.8 FTE position (0.5 Grade 7/8 Homeroom, 0.2 SERT, 0.1 Prep Coverage).
• Salary range $53,352 – $119,967 per year, prorated to FTE.
